17 year old Ashton Kunkle, Miss Teen North Miami, was crowned the inaugural Miss Teen Florida 2004 at the Palladium Theater in St. Petersburg on Saturday night, May 1, 2004.   Ashton is the daughter of Sandra and Joe Gozzo of Tequesta.  She is a student at the Benjamin School and plans to attend Denison College to obtain her Degree in International Affairs.

During the Talent portion of the pageant, Ashton performed the piano selection, Toccata.  She has played the piano for over 14 years and has won numerous awards in Piano Competitions.

She won $1,000 in cash and a variety of other prizes.  She will travel the State and represent Florida Teens as she appears, speaks, and entertains at selected events.
