Dear Local Miss Titleholders:
Congratulations on your accomplishment of representing one of the special crowns to compete in the 2013 Miss Florida Pageant. I feel certain that you are already putting tireless hours into your preparation to get the most out of your week in July!
Did you know that with a few telephone calls to family, friends, business owners, and acquaintances, you could have money to pay for your educational, personal, or pageant expenses by selling Advertising Pages for the Miss Florida Program Book? Money aside, do you realize that while making the contacts to sell advertising pages, you are also preparing for the job of Miss Florida? By scheduling appointments, speaking with business owners, making cold contacts, and even talking with your family members, you are letting everyone know about the power of the crown. You are convincing others why you should become Miss Florida –the same as you will persuade the judges why you should be the one selected.
Salute Pages are the perfect way to display your versatility. For each ad page submitted, you can include a photograph of yourself in a myriad of activities. For example, if you submit 5 pages, you could highlight yourself performing your talent, mentoring your Princess or Prince, promoting your platform, appearing with civic or community leaders, expressing your favorite hobbies, or participating in family time!
Of course, a little incentive on the side doesn’t hurt. The person selling the most ads (10 or more pages) will be the first to select their placement during the Miss Florida Lottery. In addition, anyone selling ten pages of advertising will win a $500 Scholarship. This is in addition to any rebates that you are eligible for.
So, what are you waiting for? The longer you delay, the more time that you miss in soliciting sponsors to advertise and help you in your quest for the crown! Remember that you must make each day count in some way as you prepare for Miss Florida.
Good Luck in all of your endeavors in the journey to the 2013 Miss Florida Pageant!

In addition to selling advertisement in our 2013 Pageant Program, The Miss Florida Pageant is once again offering the
Business Card Advertising Program. The Business Card Advertising Program is open to anyone that is directly connected with a contestant in the 2013 Miss Florida Pageant – i.e. Miss & Teen Contestants, Princesses/Prince, Local Executive Directors and Committees, Parents, etc. This is a great way to earn money to help defray costs for wardrobe, pageant preparation, school expenses, etc. It is an opportunity to gain experience through speaking with others while promoting the Miss Florida Program.
What are you waiting for? Get Started Today!
You can sell as many business card pages as you would like. Each page of ten (10) business cards means $500 back to you! Imagine if you sold 5 pages. $2,500 comes to the Miss Florida Pageant and $2,500 comes back to you!
IT’S SIMPLE – HERE’S HOW IT WORKS!
- A Business Card Page consists of (10) Ten Business Cards to one page of Advertising. The Page cannot be divided and must be sold as ten cards for one page. 10 (ten) cards sold for $100 each = $1,000.00. Less or more than 10 cards per page will not be accepted
- The Advertising must be camera ready. No photographs will be displayed on the page of advertising for Business Card Ads.
For each page of business card advertising sold for $1,000.00, the Miss Florida Organization will refund $500.00. For Example: Miss Local sells one page of business card advertising for $1,000; Miss Florida Organization rebates $500 back to Miss Local. All checks for advertising are payable to Miss Florida Pageant.
The Business Card page must be saved in grayscale. Submit a CD with camera ready ad for each page of advertisement. A hard copy (mock up) for each ad must be included with CD. Send 10 original business cards with ad copy.
This program will not be extended past the deadline of MAY 15, 2013
ALL ADVERTISING MUST BE SUBMITTED ON THAT DATE.
Questions?
Who may participate in the BUSINESS CARD ADVERTISING Program?
The Program is open to 2013 MISS AND OUTSTANDING Titleholders; 2013 Princess or Prince Participants; Parents of Titleholders or Princess or Prince; Local Executive Directors/Committee Members.
- How does the Program work?
The Plan is simple! Sell one (1) full page of Business Card Advertising, i.e. 10 Business Cards to a page. Each business card is $100 – a full page of business card advertising is $1,000. The Miss Florida Pageant will rebate $500 back to the seller for each FULL PAGE sold. PARTIAL PAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
How is payment received?
Checks sent to the Miss Florida Pageant with the business card advertisement must be payable to the Miss Florida Pageant. The pageant will not accept checks in the name of an individual. You may start NOW. As you sell a full page of Business Card Advertising and submit payment & ad page to the Miss Florida Pageant, a rebate check will be issued in the name requested on the form that accompanies the page of advertisement.
PREFERRED METHOD: If you sell a full page of business card advertising, and wish to deduct the rebate of $500.00, submit the advertisement and a check for $500.00 to the MISS FLORIDA PAGEANT.
- What is the Deadline for Advertising?
The Final deadline for turning in Business Card Advertisement will be May 15, 2013 but you may turn it in as soon as you have sold a full page!
