teen contestant at large

We are very excited that you have an interest in competing in Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant.Download Application

Founded in 2005, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Inc. has become
one of the top scholarship providers for teen girls in the United States!
All of our participants, on the local, state, and national levels,
have been the recipients of valuable scholarship assistance upon
graduation from high school. In just a few short years, we have
made available almost $4,000,000 in cash and in-kind scholarships.

As of November 2011, the national pageant has written scholarship checks for over $531,000 to more than 115 different colleges and universities across the country. All of our scholarships are paid directly to the institution attended by our participants and cover tuition, books, and room and board. (Some restrictions apply.) No individual cash payments are made so we know all our scholarships are being used for educational purposes. We believe that education is key to a person’s success and we are proud to be able to assist so many outstanding teens with their college expenses.

Whether you are competing to earn scholarship dollars to assist with your higher education, or for an outlet to display your performing talent, or to gain poise and presence and overall skills to be used in your everyday life, the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Pageant is for you!
The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Pageant is an official preliminary for the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Program.  You cannot compete directly for Miss America’s Outstanding Teen but rather, you must compete in a state program and win the state title to proceed.  Elizabeth Fechtel won Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen prior to competing at the national pageant and winning Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2012. Teens may either compete through a local pageant to win a title, or they may advance to the state finals through our At Large Program.  The judges are not aware of how the contestants have qualified to compete in the State Pageant.

The deadline to qualify through the At Large Program is April 15, 2013. All applications are screened and approved prior to accepting a contestant to advance to the state pageant. The Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Pageant is July 10-13, 2013 at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg, Florida. Information will be provided about the mandatory Orientation in May 2013. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible since there is additional paperwork that must be completed for the Orientation Weekend. Once the application has been submitted and approved by the Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen Program, a detailed letter will be sent that will include all of the required paperwork to be submitted at the official Pageant Orientation.

Outstanding Teens must compete in all phases of competition: Interview, Talent, Evening Wear, Fitness, and Scholastic Achievement.  So, what are you waiting for?  Send in your application today and join this exciting program that could forever change your life!!
